I will not go too much into detail of the show as I have written about it before >> other Räuber Hotzenplotz posts but special memories of these shows are:
And as much as I enjoyed Mario Saccoccio as Seppel I really wanted to see the most adorable Manuel Ettelt once as Seppel but it was not to be. :( At least it was lovely to see him in the audience among the whole (?) creative team including Martin Lingnau, Heiko Wohlgemuth and Carolin Spieß . :)
All over. :( Last weekend saw the two final shows of "Räuber Hotzenplotz" at the Schmidt Theater. After seeing so many shows since October last year (no I won't reveal how often I saw it at the end ;-) ) I had to go to these too (yes, am mad).
Both show were just so much fun, I couldn't have asked for better final shows (just wished for one, two other castings at one of the two shows but you cannot have it all I suppose)!

Mario Saccoccio's utterly hyper and most entertaining performance. Hell, where did that massive load of energy come from?
I recall the first time I saw him as Seppel I was not too keen on him but he had totally grown on me since then and just was such a geeky, dumpy and ditsy Seppel (wonder whether that transformation could be seen as Kasperl too but since I just saw him once in that part in January...) over the weekend especially on Saturday.
Seeing Markus Richter once more as the constable/sorcerer. Seriously I actually expected him to literally explode at the end of the show as his sorcerer was this time more manic and insane than ever before and he was manic before. Awesome! How often though did he manage to do the magic tricks properly in the shows he did? ;-)
Götz Fuhrmann being the robber twice after I had "just" seen Torsten Hammann this season till Saturday. He is a totally different robber, less sharp, more muff, but great in his own way and I was glad he did not pick me as he did at his first show. ;-)
But the others were wonderful too. Timo's Prussian snappy sharp constable was also a delight to watch. I though missed Elena Zvirbulis who most probably is busy rehearsing for Tecklenburg open air theatre as I am just not a fan of Annic-Barbara Fenske for the previously mentioned reasons.
Well, and there was Jan Radermacher as Kasperl. I was actually surprised that he played both shows. I had expected him to do just one but of course I did not mind. ;-) Acting wise he delivered a most convincing portrayal as the smart, true hero, just as he did when I saw him in his first Kasperl show on 8th October, though I seriously hope that he will eventually get his vocal issues sorted.
It's usually fine the first 20-ish minutes of the show but then half way through act 1 it started to crack again. It's not as bad as it was in January, though it hardly could be worse, but still far from what he was once capable of when he e.g. did "Villa Sonnenschein". Still a great performance.

I will miss this little show, yes you could say, it is "just" a kids show but I had most wonderful times at all performances I went to.
It shall be interesting to see what will be on as this year's Christmas show. We learnt after the show that even the cast would not be told but since it will be from Martin Lingnau and Heiko Wohlgemuth again, there is hope for something as entertaining as this.
