Farmer: A Person Who Is Outstanding In Their Field

It was a rather spontaneous decision end of November to spend New Year's Eve in Bielefeld with a close friend being there for a couple of weeks. 

So using the chance combining seeing and 'entertaining' my friend and being entertained by this fun show I adored so much when seeing it in Worpswede in May last  year (read about it >>here).

With the cast but one the same as in Worpswede it was as meeting good old friends again seeing the production in Bielefeld.

The Komödie Bielefeld is a lovely place - a former cinema it uses its old two cinema halls including the original chairing usually showing two shows parallel.
On NYE there were two shows each - a 5pm and a 9pm shows - with it staying open over midnight so it was also a nice option where to welcome 2015.
Ticket prices were twice of what they normally are but then it was NYE and I could not think of a better place where to spend that evening - seeing a brilliant show with one of my fave guys on stage in this country sharing the experience with a lovely friend.

As said there was one change cast wise with Martin Brücker as the handsome farmer Richard - and oh boy he is most handsome being so lovely to look at and drool over him.  

But not only that but also talented being a fantastic Richard giving the part depth and character despite it being a comedy making me care about the character for once.  

I still cannot warm to Petra Stockinger as Lavinia, I just find her, even though she has played the part for a while, still too stiff and not likeable so that the guys are all over her character is just not understandable for me.

The other four are wonderful again - especially Florian Wilke and Manuel Ettelt were such a TREAT deserving the long applause they received at curtain call.  

I adored them in Worpswede being most entertaining but a few months later they really seem to live the characters from head to toe.  

They had me totally in stitches with even the most little things and gestures being perfected making me laugh so much. 

Okay, I partly blame too much sugar and caffeine for that too drinking way too much coke that night what I normally do not do - not that I need an excuse for being hyper unlike in past when in company as this time's company didn't seem to mind enjoying herself too much too. ;-)

But seriously, the guys really outplayed themselves that evening making it a most special NY evening for (hopefully) everyone in the theatre.

A personal plus for me was also seeing the most wonderful Manuel Ettelt and a colleague of his I adore too (the M&M's ;-) ) who visited them off stage making it even more special.

For me this show is certainly one of the funniest shows seen in a long time as it just delivers everything I want from a theatre night out and even a bit more when delivered by such a cast. So much better, a totally different league to the lame stuff you mainly get delivered at the Schmidt Theater, I used to visit so much in past, these days.

This show is not to be missed if you haven't seen it yet! On at the Komödie Bielefeld till end of January and again at the Alte Molkerei in Worpswede in May and June.
